Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Learn emotional resilience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training, individual and group DBT therapy

Dialectical skills training improves your ability to handle distress without losing control of your emotions. Build skills in the following four key areas:

1
Mindfulness Skills
Core Mindfulness training focuses on learning to go within to find oneself and on learning to observe oneself. Mindfulness skills are the vehicles for balancing "emotion mind" and "reasonable mind" to achieve "wise mind."

2
Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills
Interpersonal Effectiveness training focuses on improving relationship skills, specifically learning to deal with conflict situations, to get what one wants and needs, and to say no to unwanted requests and demands.

3
Emotion Regulation Skills
Emotion Regulation training builds upon mindfulness skills, to nonjudgmentally observe one's current emotional responses, ultimately managing emotional resonses with strategies that are more adaptive.
4
Distress Tolerance Skills
Distress Tolerance training decreases impulsive behavior by focusing on learning to tolerate distress and using skills to navigate discomfort and distress more effectively.Â

DBT Skills Training Group
DBT groups introduce participants to DBT skills and encourage skill acquisition through practice assignments. The group covers one skill set of the 4 DBT Skill Areas each 4 weeks.Â
DBT Individual Skills
Individual DBT is a structured, individualized treatment that focuses on strengthening skills, maintaining motivation, and identifying alternatives to specific behaviors that clients want to change.
